Constructed by Piper boats in 1979, Dragonfly has been used as a comfortable full-time liveaboard boat with full off-grid capabilities. She is a comfortable and characterful narrowboat.

 

The current owner got a pre-purchase survey when he bought her and the recommendations were carried out, including the installation of a refurbished BMC engine which is in good running order.

 

Internally there is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen with a gas cooker and 12v fridge. Hot water is supplied to both kitchen and bathroom via an instant gas water heater. The boat is kept toasty warm with a Boatman stove connected to a back boiler which supplies the radiators.

 

The bathroom has a cassette toilet, a small bath/shower and a sink. Power comes from three large solar panels and a Victron charge controller. 

 

The mooring is in Uxbridge, a short walk from the town centre and tube and is transferable by agreement with the mooring manager for a fee. It is a linear spot behind locked gates providing ample security and privacy.
